With the increasing popularity of high definition televisions (HDTVs), now in one in three U.S. homes, the DEG offers informational tools to help guide consumers to properly set up their HDTVs, and also to further their HD experiences.
The DEG offers a special consumer HDTV Guide that provides valuable information on HDTV in an easy-to-read format. It features such topics as what HDTV is; high definition viewing options; the differences in HD televisions; and how to connect an HDTV.
A recent collaboration with research analysts SmithGeiger LLC and the DEG resulted in a benchmark study that interviewed nearly 1,100 HDTV owners and measured their attitudes, usage and behavior toward high definition. The survey focused on a number of factors, including consumer awareness of next generation HD packaged media; HDTV programming; HDMI connectivity; and home networking capability.
The DEG created these guides to help educate consumers about HDTV in hopes they will enjoy their sets to the fullest. The HDTV Guides are available through the links below, by calling the DEG Office at 310-888-2201 or through participating retailers nationwide.
